Peter Steinberger 98d7b38d48 docs: document three-layer session ownership (#125334)
* docs: document three-layer session ownership

User documentation for the session-ownership feature landed in #125057:
the immutable creator / assignable owner / participant-history model, the
Assign-to-me and Assign-to session menu actions, the sessions tool
assign_owner action, the sidebar Owners facet with Involving-me, the
pair-stack owner avatar, and agent-spawned session receipts (sessionUrl +
owner acknowledgement). Adds the sessions.assignOwner method and ownership
row projections to the protocol reference and a zh-CN glossary entry for
the new link label.

* docs: drop nonexistent header facepile overflow count

The chat header receives the already 4-capped participant projection and no
total count, so its overflow branch cannot render. Describe up to four
avatars instead (ClawSweeper P2).

* docs: register session permission modes

* fix(ui): use shared permission dropdown

* fix(sessions): restore permission mode contracts

* fix(ci): record session permission startup JS growth in the budget baseline

* refactor(agents): prepare session exec mode at dispatch

Host dispatch owns permissionMode→exec override preparation; the codex
plugin consumes prepared facts and the SDK barrel export is removed,
keeping the plugin-sdk surface at its recorded budget.

Peter Steinberger cc2fc55f9b feat: portals — expose agent-run dev servers to the operator (#122536)
* feat(protocol): add portal methods and event

Bump the reviewed protocol owner-module count from 55 to 56.

* feat(gateway): add portal service and reverse proxy

* feat(agents): add portal tool

* fix(gateway): refine portal URL and proxy auth

* refactor(gateway): keep portal helper types private

* fix(gateway): declare portal transport service

* test(gateway): satisfy portal proxy lint

* test(gateway): narrow websocket payload types

* refactor(protocol): compact portal schema exports

* fix(gateway): export portal protocol types

* feat(ui): add portals page

* docs(gateway): add portals guide

* fix(gateway): dial portal targets via localhost dual-stack

Vite and other Node >=17 dev servers bind ::1 only for localhost, so a
fixed 127.0.0.1 dial 502s on the default path. Use hostname localhost
with family autoselection and rewrite Host to match.

* fix(gateway): type portal dual-stack connection

* fix: satisfy portal integration gates

* fix(gateway): isolate portal cookie jars per target

Cookies are hostname-scoped, not port-scoped, so the per-port origin
split alone let Gateway plugin-auth cookies reach agent-run targets.
Forward only cookies carrying this portal's own name prefix (stripped),
rewrite target Set-Cookie names to the prefixed form incl. the WS 101
handshake, and drop Domain attributes.

* fix(ui): detect unreachable portals behind proxied gateways

Probe the portal origin from the browser (no-cors, 4s timeout) and show
a recovery notice with the gateway-host URL instead of a dead iframe
when only the gateway port is exposed (Serve/Funnel/reverse proxy).
Docs: cookie isolation + reachability; zh-CN glossary entry.

* test(ui): satisfy portal reachability lint

* test(gateway): provide control UI request hosts

* chore(protocol): regenerate after rebase

* fix(gateway): namespace portal auth cookies by listener

* fix(gateway): scope portal token URLs to write-capable clients

The portal bearer token rides in the summary url/tokenQuery; portal.list
is operator.read and portal.changed fans out to read subscribers, so a
read-only client could harvest an openable URL. Make those fields
optional, redact them from read-scope list responses, and drop them from
every portal.changed broadcast; write/admin clients still receive them
and the UI refetches the list on change.

* docs(web): list the portals route

* fix(gateway): type portal open credentials

* docs(gateway): clarify portals PORT/PUBLIC_URL are agent-set

Opening a portal creates only the proxy listener; the agent sets PORT
and PUBLIC_URL in its own exec command, matching the portal tool
contract. Removes the implication of an automatic env handoff.

* chore(protocol): regenerate portal models

* style(gateway): format portal method-order assertions

Rebase union-merge left the portal.list assertion wrapped; oxfmt fits it
on one line.

* chore(plugin-sdk): refresh API baseline after rebase

* chore(plugin-sdk): refresh API baseline after rebase

* chore(protocol): refresh portal event order after rebase

* chore(plugin-sdk): refresh API baseline after rebase

* fix(gateway): pin portal referrer policy to no-referrer

The portal URL carries its bearer token in the query, and upstream
response headers are copied verbatim, so a target answering with
Referrer-Policy: unsafe-url could leak that URL to every third-party
origin it references. Force no-referrer after the copy and drop any
inbound Referer that still carries the token before forwarding.

Peter Steinberger b363d5a293 feat(linux): canvas UI via CLI-node + Tauri app IPC bridge (#107633)
* feat(linux): canvas via CLI-node + Tauri app IPC bridge

* refactor: extract gateway helper modules

* build(linux-canvas): register plugin package in lockfile

* fix(linux-canvas): move canvas advertise test out of core, regen docs/protocol/deadcode

* fix(gateway): break node-catalog/registry import cycle via leaf normalize module; add canvas glossary term

* style: oxfmt invoke.ts and runtime.ts after buildNodeEventParams extraction

* fix(linux): load Canvas WebView via dedicated data_directory context

Wry's Linux/WebKitGTK incognito mode discards Tauri's registered
WebContext (wry webkitgtk/mod.rs), so the Canvas window got a fresh
ephemeral context without the openclaw-canvas:// scheme handler — the
bundled A2UI page never committed (stayed about:blank) and every A2UI
command timed out. Use an isolated cache-backed data_directory instead,
which keeps the protocol handler while still isolating Canvas storage
from the dashboard window.

* fix(linux): keep Canvas WebView ephemeral via incognito + data_directory

Autoreview flagged that a dedicated data_directory alone persists Canvas
browser state (cookies, localStorage, IndexedDB, service workers) across
restarts, so an agent that navigates Canvas to a site could leak an
authenticated session into a later session. iOS uses a non-persistent
store; Linux should match.

Add .incognito(true) alongside .data_directory(): the distinct directory
gives Tauri a fresh WebContext key so it still attaches the
openclaw-canvas:// protocol closure, and incognito makes Wry swap in a
fresh *ephemeral* context carrying those protocols. Live-verified on a
Wayland/WebKitGTK box: the bundled page still loads
(location.href=openclaw-canvas://localhost/index.html, openclawA2UI
present, A2UI renders) and the canvas-webview dir holds no persistent
cookie/storage files.

Josh Lehman 0a8e3604ba refactor: flip sessions and transcripts to sqlite storage (#98236)
* refactor(sessions): migrate runtime storage to sqlite

* test(sessions): fix sqlite CI regressions

* test(sessions): align remaining sqlite fixtures

* fix(codex): require sqlite trajectory recorder

* test(sessions): align orphan recovery sqlite fixture

* test(sessions): align sqlite rebase fixtures

* fix(sessions): finish current-main integration of the sqlite flip

Resolve the whole-store SDK removal across its owner boundary: drop the
loadSessionStore re-export and the registry whole-store wrappers, wire
hasTrackedActiveSessionRun into gateway chat, complete the
preserveLockedHarnessIds cleanup contract, flip the codex thread-history
import to storePath targets, and port remaining main-side tests from
file-store helpers to session accessor reads.

* chore: drop committed pebbles log, revert plugin-inspector bump, refresh generated docs

Remove the 1.8k-line .pebbles/events.jsonl work log from the branch, restore
the plugin-inspector advisory lane to main's pinned 0.3.10 so the supply-chain
bump gets its own review, and regenerate docs_map, the plugin SDK API baseline,
and the export-surface ratchet for the merged tree.

* feat(sessions): keep archived transcripts by default with zstd cold storage

Codex-style retention: deleting or resetting a session archives its
transcript as a zstd-compressed JSONL artifact (plain when the runtime
lacks node:zlib zstd) and keeps it until the disk budget evicts oldest
first. resetArchiveRetention now governs both deleted and reset archives
and defaults to keep; maxDiskBytes defaults to 2gb so retention stays
bounded, with archives evicted before live sessions. The cron reaper
follows the same knob instead of deleting archives on its own timer.

* fix(state): converge agent DB migration lineages and bound database growth

Merge coherence: run both structure-gated legacy memory-schema repairs
(flip-lineage drop, main-lineage identity rebuild) before the flip
migration so pre-flip v1/v2 and pre-merge flip v1/v4 databases all
converge, and hoist foreign_keys=OFF outside the schema transaction
where the pragma was silently ignored and the v1 sessions rebuild
cascade-deleted session_entries.

Growth guards: fresh agent DBs enable auto_vacuum=INCREMENTAL, WAL
maintenance releases freed pages in bounded passes (never a blocking
full VACUUM), and doctor reports state/agent DB bloat from freelist
stats.

* fix(codex): resolve the store path for thread-history import via the SDK

The supervision catalog passed the legacy sessionFile locator to the
storePath-targeted transcript mirror; resolve the agent store path with
the session-store SDK helper instead of a runtime-object seam so test
fakes and headless callers need no extra surface. Drop the obsolete
missing-session-id preprocessing case: sessions rows are NOT NULL on
session_id and upsert repairs id-less patches at write time.

* fix(sessions): fail safe on malformed disk-budget config and doctor stat errors

A malformed explicit maxDiskBytes disables the budget instead of
falling back to the destructive 2gb default the user never chose, and
the doctor bloat check skips databases whose paths stat-fail instead of
aborting doctor.

* fix(sessions): complete sqlite conflict translations

* test(sqlite): align hardening checks with maintenance

* test(sessions): inspect compressed transcript archives

* fix(tests): await session seeds and drop unused helpers flagged by CI lint

The five unawaited writeSessionStoreSeed calls raced their SQLite seeds
against the assertions, failing compact shards; the bloat probe drops a
useless initializer and the merged tests drop now-unused helpers.

* test(sessions): type legacy proof events directly

* test(sessions): align hardening contracts

* perf(sessions): read usage transcript sizes from SQL aggregates

Usage/cost scans walked every session and materialized every transcript
event just to re-stringify it for a byte estimate — the #86718 stall
class reborn on the DB. readTranscriptStatsSync sums stored JSON bytes
in SQLite without loading a single row.

* fix(sessions): re-root foreign-root transcript paths onto the current sessions dir

Restored backups, moved OPENCLAW_STATE_DIR, and rehearsal copies carry
absolute sessionFile paths from the old root; the containment fallback
kept those foreign paths, so migration read (and would archive) files in
the original root and reported local copies missing. Re-root the
canonical agents/<id>/sessions suffix onto the current dir when the file
exists there; genuine cross-root layouts still fall through unchanged.

* test(agents): seed harness admission through sqlite

* fix(sqlite): close agent db on pragma setup failure

* fix(doctor): compact and retrofit incremental auto-vacuum after session import

The migration is the sanctioned offline window: post-import compact
reclaims import churn and applies auto_vacuum=INCREMENTAL to databases
created before the fresh-DB pragma existed, so runtime maintenance can
release pages in bounded passes on every install.

Peter Steinberger f53346944d feat: correlate native search outcomes in audit history (#98704)
* feat: correlate native search outcomes in audit history

Metadata-only audit ledger for agent runs and tool actions in the shared
state DB: stable event identity, closed action/status/error vocabularies,
one-way-hashed tool-call ids, never-inferred terminal outcomes for native
web-search (explicit completed/failed only; otherwise unknown), bounded
retention, audit.list gateway RPC and openclaw audit CLI. Squashed from
the 82-commit audit stack for replay onto current main.

* feat(audit): add audit.enabled config gate (default on)

The metadata-only audit ledger records by default: an audit trail enabled
only after an incident cannot explain the incident, and the rows are
strictly less sensitive than the transcripts every install already
stores. audit.enabled=false stops new writes at the gateway subscription
seam; audit.list and openclaw audit keep serving existing records until
they expire. Documented in the configuration reference, protocol page,
and CLI reference.

* fix: repair full-matrix CI findings after rebase

- break the dynamic-tools/dynamic-tool-execution import cycle by
extracting resolveCodexToolAbortTerminalReason into a leaf module
- restore main's session-worktree protocol exports lost in the
  index.ts auto-merge
- register the audit event writer worker as a knip entry point
- docs table formatting; subagent wait-cancellation test scoped to its
audit intent (outcome + timing) and advanced past main's new
  lifecycle-timeout retry grace
