Introduce on admitted bot joins using the existing sealed no-tools turn and durable room dedupe. Matrix uses room metadata and readable history; LINE uses group names and explicitly unavailable history.

Mark Matrix bridge membership provenance without changing existing event delivery, invite handling, or auto-join. Exclude startup snapshots and already-joined profile updates, including startup connection recovery.

Simplify snapshot budget accounting while preserving prompt bytes, metadata order, and oldest-first message dropping. Add channel config, docs, and regression coverage.

The ordinary reply dispatcher built the prefix context without channel or
accountId, so channels.feishu.responsePrefix and its account override fell
through to the global value. The comment dispatcher already passed them.

* fix(channels): accept twitch's root responsePrefix and type ClickClack's

Twitch validates as a two-branch union with both branches closed, so
responsePrefix declared only on the account shape left
channels.twitch.responsePrefix rejected whenever accounts is present. Also
declares responsePrefix on ClickClackAccountConfig so typed callers can express
what its schema already accepts.

* fix(clickclack): apply the configured responsePrefix in model mode

Model mode sends the completion straight to ClickClack instead of going through
the agent reply pipeline, so the documented responsePrefix parsed and then did
nothing. Resolve it through the public reply-pipeline seam so template
variables like {model} render from the completion's own provider and model.

* fix(clickclack): do not double the response prefix in model mode

systemPrompt is operator-owned, so a model can be instructed to emit the
configured prefix itself and the unconditional concatenation then sent it
twice. Match the shared reply normalizer's startsWith guard.

Main now requires access.channelIngress, which the hand-built fixture did not
provide, so the model-mode messages never dispatched. Drop the fixture and let
handleClickClackInbound resolve access from a DM-shaped message, matching the
sibling bot-loop tests.

* test(channels): reject a key missing from any composed branch

A union alternative is a configuration mode an operator can pick, so a key
present in only one mode is unusable in the other even though the union still
validates. Treat any rejecting alternative as a rejection, and walk allOf when
collecting account schemas.

* fix(channels): offer responsePrefix only where the reply path applies it

Applying the prefix to an outbound reply is per-channel wiring, not a shared
step. Buzz, Nostr, QA Channel, Raft, Reef and SMS never read it, so accepting
the key there validated a setting their delivery path ignores. Anchor the
contract to the channels that consume the prefix.

ChannelsSchema is the only core owner at this point, since plugin channel
entries merge in later, so clearing the property map and re-adding a literal
allowlist duplicated that ownership and would silently drop any future core
field. Stop clearing it, and assert parity against the core schema rather
than a key list.

* test(config): derive the channels parity keys from the production conversion

The parity assertion converted OpenClawSchema without the io:input mode the
base schema builder uses, so an input-only core channel field could be absent
from the expectation and still get dropped. Also formats the file, which is
what turned check-docs and check-lint red.

* test(config): repair the parity test after the schema helper rename

* fix(config): preserve core channel schema lookup contracts

Remove redundant schema normalization and cover core descendant lookups alongside bundled and external channel metadata.

An unauthorized sender's inline directives are cleared to plain text before
they are acted on, but the persistent write target was derived from the
directives as they arrived. An unauthorized `/model <provider/model> -a` or
`-g` therefore reached the owner-authority error return instead of the
plain-text path every other directive takes.

Derive the target, the authority flag, and the persist flag after the
clearing. Authorized senders skip the clearing, so their behavior is
unchanged; the only closure that captures the target is invoked well after
the new declaration site.

Covers both persistent flags with a regression test that fails on the prior
head with "Agent and global model defaults require owner authority or
operator.admin scope." and passes here.

Peter Steinberger ad1e946c7a feat(a2a): add A2A v1.0 agent-interop channel plugin (#130008)
* feat(a2a): add A2A v1.0 agent-interop channel plugin

Adds `a2a` as a bundled, default-off channel plugin so A2A-compliant agents
(Hermes Agent, LangChain, CrewAI, Google ADK) can discover an OpenClaw gateway
and send it tasks, and so OpenClaw can address configured peers.

Inbound HTTP (`/.well-known/agent-card.json`, `/a2a/v1`) runs through the normal
channel ingress path, so peer messages inherit allowlist admission, provenance
framing, and session routing. The agent reply returns through the channel
delivery callback and resolves the A2A task with its artifact, correlated per
(peer, contextId) FIFO so concurrent sends cannot cross-talk.

Wire format follows the canonical v1.0.0 spec sources (a2aproject/A2A
specification/a2a.proto): PascalCase SendMessage/GetTask/CancelTask,
supportedInterfaces[] rather than the 0.3-era top-level url/protocolVersion,
member-presence Part oneof, TASK_STATE_*/ROLE_* enums, no Task.kind. The 0.3
dotted method names are accepted as explicit compat aliases because shipped
Hermes-generation peers still send them.

Security: per-peer bearer tokens compared in constant time, per-peer sliding
window rate limit, 1 MiB body cap, 64 KiB inbound text cap, tasks scoped to
their owning peer, outbound redirect: "error", and no inbound-controlled target
URLs. With no peers configured the channel stays unconfigured and registers no
routes.

Live-verified against a real gateway on an isolated state dir with a mock
provider: 31/31 proofs, including the agent reply round-tripping into the task
artifact. That run caught two defects fixed here:

- The agent card read `cfg.agents.list` directly, so gateways configured with
  the canonical `agents.entries` roster advertised zero skills. Now uses
  listAgentIds/resolveAgentConfig, which read either roster shape.
- `returnImmediately` dispatches inherited the HTTP request's released work-
  admission root and every async task failed as GatewayDrainingError. Now
  reserves an independent root via runDetachedWebhookWork, matching sms/line/zalo.

* fix(a2a): route outbound sends through the SSRF guard and land setup metadata

CI on the first push surfaced four real defects that local `check:changed` did
not cover (it runs no oxlint or typecheck lane):

- Outbound peer sends used raw `fetch()`, tripping the channel/plugin
  no-raw-fetch boundary. They now go through `fetchWithSsrFGuard` with
  `maxRedirects: 0`, so A2A egress carries the same SSRF policy as every other
  plugin call and a redirect cannot re-target a delivered task.
- The channel declared an empty setup contract while its package manifest
  declared none, so the bundled-channel shape contract failed. The wizard now
  collects `advertisedUrl` plus a first peer name/token pair, which is the
  minimum that leaves A2A actually configured (it stays unconfigured until one
  peer credential exists), and the package manifest mirrors that metadata.
- Six lint errors in the test files: base-to-string on `BodyInit` bodies, an
  unused mock, and a shadowed `options` parameter. Request bodies now go through
  a typed reader that asserts the serialized-string contract before parsing.
- A card assertion referenced `capabilities` without declaring it on the local
  response type, failing test typecheck.

Outbound redirect handling moves from `redirect: "error"` to the guard's
`manual` inspection; the adapter tests assert the new shape.

* fix(a2a): drop route replaceExisting, accept configWrites, register runtime api

CI after the interop run surfaced four more gates:

- `registerPluginHttpRoute` used `replaceExisting: true`, tripping the
  GHSA-RQP8-Q22P-5J9Q rule: a duplicate path can silently replace another
  account's handler. A2A owns fixed global paths on a single account, so a
  duplicate registration means a stale or conflicting owner. It now fails loudly
  through `throwOnFailure` instead.
- The channel schema rejected `channels.a2a.configWrites`, which every bundled
  channel must accept; added to the zod schema, the manifest schema, and the
  config type, then regenerated the channel metadata.
- The new `input` assertion in the setup adapter needed a `// SAFETY:` line for
  the assertion ratchet.
- `extensions/a2a/runtime-api.ts` needed registering in the runtime-api
  classification list, like every other bundled channel barrel.

Also repairs a pre-existing incomplete `vi.mock` factory for `../infra/fs-safe.js`
in the agent-delete suites. Both pass in isolation, but the shared-worker lane
lets a sibling importer reach `readLocalFileSafely`, which the partial factory
never exported; adding this channel changed shard composition and surfaced it.
The factory now spreads the real module and overrides only `movePathToTrash`.

* chore(a2a): refresh config baseline for the configWrites surface

* chore(tests): adopt main's fs-safe mock repair for the agent-delete suites

Main landed the same importOriginal spread for the shared-worker mock-defeat
while this branch carried an equivalent fix; take main's version verbatim so the
two do not conflict.

* fix(a2a): isolate peer sessions and stop faking task cancellation

Addresses both ClawSweeper P1 findings.

Peer sessions: inbound routing never passed `dmScope`, so it fell back to
`session.dmScope ?? "main"` and every authenticated peer converged on
`agent:main:main` under default config. Untrusted remote content was joining the
operator's own session, and peers shared conversation history. A2A now pins
`per-account-channel-peer`; the peer id already embeds the A2A contextId, so each
peer+context pair gets its own session regardless of global session config.

Cancellation: `CancelTask` marked the task `TASK_STATE_CANCELED` and discarded
the late reply, but the dispatched agent run kept going and could still use
tools. The peer was told the work stopped when it had not. There is no
plugin-facing seam to abort a live run, so cancellation is refused with -32004
instead of acknowledged, and the store's cancel path plus its canceled-delivery
tombstone are deleted rather than left as a lying terminal state. Documented as
an explicit limitation.

Live-verified on a real gateway: 34/34 proofs, including three distinct
`agent:main:a2a:default:direct:<peer>:<context>` sessions with zero traffic in
`agent:main:main`, and both cancel spellings refused while the task stays
WORKING. Re-ran the official a2a-sdk 1.1.2 Docker interop afterwards: 9/9.

Peter Steinberger 7f7448e96d feat(gateway): identity-conditional forced sandboxing for operator roles (#129926)
One shared agent could not give different people different execution
isolation: sandbox selection saw only the agent's mode and the session key,
never who created the session. Teams that share an agent had to choose
between sandboxing everyone or no one.

Add a closed, optional role axis sandbox?: "inherit" | "required"
(default "inherit", so existing deployments are unchanged). The Gateway
resolves it from the authenticated session creator and stamps it write-once
onto genuinely new session entries; the agents layer reads that immutable
fact and forces a sandbox even when the agent config says mode: "off".

Anchoring on the creator keeps a session's isolation stable for its lifetime:
a maintainer replying inside a guest session cannot un-sandbox it, and a
caller whose role requires a sandbox is refused inside an unstamped session
rather than silently inheriting host execution. Reset, rewind, rollover and
fast-path all carry the requirement forward so a session cannot be reset out
of its sandbox.

Because exec injects the agent's managed GitHub identity only for gateway-host
execution and blanks GH_TOKEN/GITHUB_TOKEN otherwise, a forced-sandbox session
also loses access to the shared agent's credentials — the property that makes
one shared agent safe for untrusted guests.

Session entries are JSON; no SQLite schema, schema-version, or protocol change.
Docs also correct the sandbox backend list, which omitted the first-class
podman backend.

Adds gateway.roles: named role bundles over a closed capability set —
sessions.others (none/view/suggest/write), an agents allowlist, and an
operator-scope ceiling. Roles are person-level (additive user_profiles.role
column, SQLite stays at v9); users.setRole (admin-only) assigns them. With
no gateway.roles config, behavior is unchanged for solo deployments.

Enforcement is deny-by-default from a host-minted actor identity
(system vs operator+profileId on server-only client.internal, never
accepted from the wire) and covers every entry point: WS RPCs, OpenAI-compat
and Responses HTTP, tools invocation, cron, questions, usage, task
suggestions, session catalog/sharing/reads. The agents allowlist gates both
session creation and run-start on existing sessions. Subagent completion
announce and descendant wake mint explicit system authority so role
boundaries never silently drop parent notifications.

The enforcement surface is expressed through a narrow policy vocabulary
(operatorSessionCap, hasOperatorBoundary, authorizeSessionSharing) rather
than per-handler policy internals.

* fix(gateway): heal PR CI after rebase onto main

- Break import cycles: extract GatewayOperatorRoleActor leaf contract; merge
  session-group-mutation-targets into session-sharing-target-input.
- Split sessions-suggestions.test.ts (max-lines) into a visibility suite.

- Startup UNAVAILABLE gating now precedes session authorization: session

  when no operator role caps the caller; view/suggest-capped roles still
  cannot reassign foreign session ownership.
- Test stubs updated for main's socket readyState guard (#128144) and the
  system-authority arg on channel-native resets.

* test(gateway): chat.send pending-profile dispatch carries its required session target

chat.send requires a non-empty sessionKey at the protocol level; the mutation
pipeline now rejects targetless frames before profile-dependent dispatch, so
the pending-profile test must send a realistic frame.

nodeHost.workerRuns.isolation=container runs each worker session inside a
Docker-compatible container (docker/OrbStack/podman): stdio launch transport,
exactly two bind mounts (bundle read-only, workspace read-write), allowlisted
env, and the container itself as the durable launch identity — created stopped
and journaled before the descriptor is delivered, killed/removed on cancel,
fence, shutdown, and recovery, with an owned-orphan sweep at startup. Missing
or changed engines disable hosting with an explicit diagnostic instead of
falling back to bare processes. Additive nullable worker_container_json column
on node_worker_launches (schema version unchanged).

* fix(test): base-shape fixture skips additive columns of stripped tables

node_worker_launches is excluded from claw-scoped state schemas, so the
read-only compat fixture cannot drop its additive column there; drop only
columns whose owning table exists.

* fix(test): guard split destructuring in base-shape fixture

* test(state): record worker_container_json in the canonical additive-column list

* fix(nodes): harden container isolation per review findings

- Revalidate the engine daemon target immediately before container creation;
  a replaced daemon receives zero create/start requests (regression proves it).
- A pending launch keeps its worker slot until the journaled container is
  killed/removed; cancellation cannot free capacity over a live container.
- Windows node hosts fail closed at startup for isolation=container with an
  actionable diagnostic (native paths cannot be container mount targets).
- Container identity moves from an additive column to the same-version
  companion table node_worker_launch_containers (bare STRICT, lazily ensured
  on first container write, pruned with the launch journal): the launch table
  is contract-optional and shipped readers reject additive columns there. An
  exact v9 predecessor now provably opens and uses the journal after the
  candidate populated container rows.

Peter Steinberger 259a14b83b feat(nodes): derive worker capacity from CPU cores and make it configurable (#128352)
Node session hosting was capped at a hardcoded 2 concurrent worker sessions.
The default is now one worker slot per available CPU core (clamped to 1..1024),
and nodeHost.workerRuns.capacity overrides it explicitly. The capacity option
was already plumbed through the supervisor; this wires it from config and
deletes the hardcoded constant. Docs and config baselines regenerated.

* feat(sessions): stamp agent identity on spawned sessions and return spawn receipts

Agent-spawned sessions recorded the requesting session key as createdActor.id,
so the Control UI creator chip rendered an opaque key. Spawn producers now stamp
the canonical requester agent id; parent-authority validation moves to a new
trusted requesterSessionKey field. projectSessionActor enriches agent actors
with configured identity name/avatar at read time, and visible sessions_spawn
returns a sessionUrl + owner receipt with URL-first acknowledgement guidance.

* feat(sessions): assignable session ownership with owner facet and menus

GitHub-assignee-style ownership: sessions get a mutable owner (defaulting to
the immutable createdActor) stored in additive bare-nullable SQLite columns
with first-use lazy ensure. New operator.write sessions.assignOwner validates
targets, requires an identified caller, authorizes by session visibility, and
records assignedBy/assignedAt inside the write transaction. The sessions agent
tool gains assign_owner; the Control UI adds Assign-to-me/Assign-to menus in
sidebar rows and chat headers, renders the effective owner chip, and the
creator facet/filter now keys on effective owner. Sharing authority stays
anchored on createdActor.

* feat(sessions): record session participants and stack them in the owner chip

Records every distinct external prompter (human profile/channel sender, or a
requesting agent) per session in an additive session_participants table at the
turn-admission boundary — best-effort, deferred, never blocking the turn; the
session's own agent and viewers are never recorded, capped at 32 per session.
The session row projects a bounded participants list (owner excluded) plus a
total count with the same actor enrichment as owner/createdActor. The sidebar
chip becomes a pair-stack when others have prompted (owner front, one peeking
participant or +N behind), the chat header shows the full facepile, and an
authenticated involvingMe list filter adds an Involving-me sidebar predicate.
Participant projection is excluded from logical-session CAS equality so display
history never invalidates session writes.

* fix(sessions): identify built-in agent tool callers for owner assignment

The sessions tool's assign_owner dispatched through the in-process synthetic
client, which carries neither a signed agent-runtime identity nor a human
profile, so agent-initiated reassignment always failed with FORBIDDEN. The
tool now captures its trusted requester agent identity and carries it across
in-process dispatch as internal client state (never wire params); the handler
derives assignedBy as signed runtime identity, then trusted agent-tool caller,
then authenticated human. Live-verified end-to-end on a dev gateway.

* fix(ci): split oversized session modules and refresh prompt snapshots

Split the max-lines offenders at concept boundaries for session equality, tool overrides, and protocol owner schemas. Remove the redundant Number conversion from the node:sqlite participant count. Refresh prompt snapshots after drift from the sessions and sessions_spawn tool description updates.

* fix(ci): restore solo-mode chip suppression and conform new method descriptors

Solo-mode root cause: owner-assignment submenu options reused the permanent owner-chip custom element, so hidden menu avatars were counted as attribution chrome. Menus now use viewer avatars while gateway-gated owner chips remain exclusive to collaborative sessions.

Conform sessions.assignOwner to the 2026.8 descriptor and append-only advertised-method inventories, and regenerate the Swift and Kotlin protocol surfaces.

Keep historical v15/v14 fixtures frozen by stripping the new owner columns; the existing range already excludes the participant table. Replace the new raw SQLite schema probes with synchronous Kysely queries.

Clear max-lines by splitting the organizer host contract, pure agent-navigation projections, and ownership/filtering sidebar cases at their concept boundaries.

* fix(ci): integrate ownership series with latest main surfaces

Wire the sessions-page assign-owner action, merge capability imports, narrow the navigation export scope, and apply sessions-create formatting.

The owner-presence regression came from hidden assign-owner menu avatars emitting data-viewer-id, so owner and menu chrome now opt out of presence markers while real facepiles retain them.

* fix(sessions): scope the involving-me filter to profile-backed participants

Session participant history mixed channel-native sender ids with authenticated Gateway profile ids, so involving-me missed real sessions and could accept numeric collisions.

Record the actor_source namespace at each producer, carry it through the internal SQLite projection, and match authenticated viewers only against profile-backed human participants. Legacy NULL sources fail closed for filtering, while channel ids remain available for display.

* build(ui): raise startup budget baseline for session ownership surfaces

Ownership chips, assignment menus, and the participant stack add ~0.7 KiB
gzip to the startup path; CI compression landed just over the previous
baseline+tolerance. Hard cap (350 KiB) unchanged.

* refactor(sessions): drop raw NULL projection for the lazy actor_source column

The Kysely guardrail rejects typed raw sql snippets outside allowlisted
boundaries; select the lazily-ensured column only when present and let the
row projection treat its absence as unknown/legacy.

The rail transcript is compared byte-for-byte across the detail-panel
round-trip while it renders live relative ages; on slow CI runners the
second boundary ticks between the two reads (11s -> 12s) and fails the
equality assertion. Fix the page Date with Playwright setFixedTime while
keeping timers running so the tasks.list polling assertions still hold.

Repro: a 1.5s stall between the reads fails pre-fix with the exact CI
diff and passes post-fix.

Knip's workflow scan re-roots script references after an actions/checkout
step that sets path:, so the new trusted-tooling checkout in
openclaw-npm-release.yml stops marking this CLI as a workflow entry and

Nothing imports main; the module invokes it through its own entry guard,
so the export keyword was dead surface either way.

process HOME. External catalogs now require the default install identity for
process-HOME scans: every catalog verb receives the isolation policy and rejects
HOME-fallback local targets, unknown providers fail closed unless they declare
supportsProcessHomeIsolation, and one structured warning records the skip.
Paired-node hosts and explicitly rooted stores (CLAUDE_CONFIG_DIR, CODEX_HOME,
OPENCODE_DB, Pi session dirs) keep working; default-identity gateways are
unchanged.

ClawHub search returns one entry per publisher, so several results can share a
slug. Every client collapsed the selection to that bare slug before calling
skills.detail and skills.install, and ClawHub answered 409 AMBIGUOUS_SKILL_SLUG
with no in-product way forward.

searchClawHubSkills now records the publisher-qualified reference once, on the
result that carries it, and the Gateway protocol documents it. skills.detail
parses the same reference grammar skills.install already accepted, so review and
install cannot resolve to different publishers. Control UI carries that one
reference through row actions, detail, busy state, and acknowledgement retries,
and shows it so otherwise identical rows are distinguishable.

Fixes #117633

* fix(apps): send the ClawHub publisher reference from native skill browsers

macOS, iOS, and Android read the qualified reference from search results and use
it for skills.detail, install, busy state, installed matching, and list identity,
so two publishers sharing a slug stay distinct instead of collapsing into one
ambiguous request.

* fix(skills): refuse external-source skill detail instead of reading a same-slug skill

ClawHub has no source-qualified read endpoint, so a skills-sh reference parsed
down to its bare slug would have returned a registry skill's card while install
resolved the external artifact. Review and install could name different skills.

skills.detail now fails closed on any reference that carries a source, and the
macOS and AgentPro rows show the publisher reference next to the summary instead
of only when a summary is missing, so same-slug rows stay distinguishable.

installRef is the one reference clients send back, and no client reads the
publisher handle separately, so the protocol and Control UI carry one field
instead of two.

refusal, so the error names the direct install path and the CLI equivalent.

* fix(macos): use a doc comment on the ClawHub row subtitle

swift-format's docComments rule requires doc comments on declarations; the
subtitle property carried a regular comment and failed macos-swift.

* fix(skills): carry ClawHub trust state to clients that can install

Forwarding installRef let clients install the exact publisher the operator
picked, including external skills-sh sources. It did not forward the trust
state that says ClawHub never scanned that source, so iOS AgentPro — the one
surface that installs in a single tap with no review step — could install an
unscanned artifact with nothing on screen saying so. The CLI already labels
these (docs/clawhub/cli.md, docs/cli/skills.md); native clients could not,
because trustState was never on the wire.

trustState becomes an optional field on SkillsSearchResultSchema. It is purely
additive: older clients ignore an unknown key and the field is absent for
registry results, so downgraded readers are unaffected and no protocol version
moves.

Every client that renders a search row now shows "Not scanned by ClawHub",
matching the CLI wording exactly: iOS AgentPro in the row above the install
button, macOS and Android beside the review action, and Control UI on the row
that explains why review is refused for these sources.

Covered by a wire assertion that the state reaches clients for an external
source and stays absent for registry rows, plus decode-and-label tests on the
shared Swift kit and the Android parser, and a Control UI render assertion.

* fix(ui): size the ClawHub detail dialog to a refusal message

Refusing detail for an external source made an error-only dialog reachable.
The shared preview panel reserves a tall reader height for skill documents, so
a two-line refusal rendered in a mostly empty dialog and read as broken rather
than deliberate. Found by inspecting the review captures.

* revert(ui,apps): drop the ClawHub trust label layer

Maintainer product decision: skills.sh runs its own scanners, so OpenClaw does
not add a second alert layer in the apps. Removes the label from Control UI,
iOS, macOS and Android, and drops the trustState wire field that nothing would
render. The CLI keeps its existing label; changing that is a separate call.

Publisher identity, the fail-closed detail refusal, and the message-only dialog
are unchanged. Splits the oversized skills view test file to satisfy max-lines
without a suppression.
